Information gathered is determined by the requirements of our client and is only used specifically in relation to that client and the particular campaign or business requirement we are undertaking. This may be used by our clients or by us on behalf of that client, for reasons such as:

  • Internal record keeping
  • Provision of updated records to our clients or suppliers
  • Order, sales or literature fulfilment
  • To improve products and services
  • To provide information or advice
  • To administer competitions or claims
  • To manage the process of complaints or requests
  • Periodically send promotional communications about new products, special offers or other information of interest to the recipient using contact details provided by the recipient and with whose approval is recorded
  • Market research by email, phone, fax or mail.
  • To comply with laws in Australia or co-operate with any governmental authority of Australia

Information may be transferred to third party systems only in limited circumstances, e.g. for offsite backup or communications purposes. In these cases the information is not transferred further and is only used for the specific purpose or activity carried out under our direction. Only the minimum amount of data required for any particular job will be transferred. Agreements between Recon and other entities in receipt of such information from us are executed in accordance with current government legislation.

What we will NOT do with the information we gather

Unless required by law we will not:

  • provide information to other third parties or to other clients for any purpose
  • provide information to other third parties or to other clients for any purpose
  • directly send information to any recipient located overseas except where acting as an agent for an authorised party

Information gathered may be disclosed to the following parties:

  • Employees
  • Client representatives
  • Contractors or consultants for whom it is necessary for the purpose of providing products and services
  • Service providers for whom it is necessary for the purpose of providing products and services

Unless we are able to collect your information:

  • we may not be able to deliver products or services to you that meet your requirements or the optimum standard of those requirements
  • we may not be able to provide information about products and services, specials or promotions
  • we may not be able to customise the content of websites to your preferences
  • you may not be able to provide products or services to us

We are committed to ensuring that customer information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. This includes:

  • Card access to building and further secure areas within the building (which includes the IT server/communications room)
  • CCTV monitoring 24 hours
  • Back to base alarm system
  • Computer systems that meet with good privacy practice and legal obligations
  • Application of practices set out in the Information Security Manual published by the Defence Signals Directorate.
  • Payments solutions providers that are fully PCI DSS compliant. This ensures the security of sensitive payment and credit card related information.
